On the picture is Gold fish no. 167, a E1 class tramcar, near Eidsvolls plass on its way to Jar.

The Gold fishes body cosisted of a self-supported construction of aluminium. Therefore, the tramcars were very light, which involved low centre of gravity, good driving characteristics and quite high top speed. In 1937, the first six Gold fishes were delivered, and they were prototypes (no. 158-163). From this, one chose to build to main series, on city class (the E class cars, no. 164-183) and one suburb line class (the B class cars, no. 184-203). The E class, which is shown on this picture with no. 167, were built by Skabo and had electrical equipment from AEG. The motors came from ELIN. As opposed to the B class tramcars, this serie was equipped with high voltage controller which regulated switching on and electric braking.
