Picture of the Month, March 2006  In 1958, New Zealander David Beath visited Norway. He photographed this 500-class car from Holmenkolbanen at Majorstuen. These cars were delivered in time for the company's 50-year anniversary in 1948, even though the construction had started much earlier. However, the construction work was slow during World War II, so the three double cars weren't put into use until 1946. They were seen as Holmenkolbanen's flagships for several decades.
