Information about the construction

LTF is building a museum tramway near the amusement park TusenFryd at Vinterbro outside Oslo. The works started in the 70's and is progressing slowly, but steadily. Some technical work remains before the museum tramway can open for test operation.

If we succeed, the 300 metre long line will be run by four-wheel tramcars in the summer 2004. The rolling stock will be exhibited in the tramshed. In Slemdal station, which was 100 years old in 1998, there will be a photo exhibition. In addition, the building from Stortorvet and the Narvesen shop "Tyrihans" are restored. We look forward to welcoming you to the Museum Tramway at Vinterbro when it opens!

The tramshed expands

A problem for LTF during many years has been shortage of storage space; we have more rolling stock than we have indoor storage space. Thus the tramshed at Vinterbro has been expanded in three parts. First, the original tramshed was lengthened in the front (part A). Then, a side tramshed was built behind the original tramshed, part B. In the end of 2003, the so far last expansion, part C, has been built behind the old tramshed, like a lengthening of part B. We will then get more storage space for the rolling stock at Vinterbro.
